I visited this local restaurant based on a recommendation, and it was such a great find. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and both locals and travelers feel right at home. The owner speaks a bit of English, and there’s an English menu available, which makes ordering easy. One of the highlights is being able to watch the owners cook right in front of you from the counter. You can see how everything is prepared with real care and dedication. I ordered the pork with fried rice, which came with tofu, radish, and miso soup. Everything was delicious. Price: Pork with fried rice ¥1,000 + craft beer ¥700. Totally recommended if you want tasty, traditional, and affordable food while staying in Fujiyoshida.

Sunday night, limited choices for dinner and this restaurant was open and close to our hotel. Friendly staff even though the only server was busy and it took a while for her to take our order. We had set dinner meals. Simple but satisfying. Good value.

20230831 - this restaurant serves typical Japanese family meal sets that you can find everywhere locally but they just make it perfectly. I and my family had fried vegetable and grilled fish sets. Also, we additionally ordered deep fried chicken. Everything tastes delicious. Fish is thick and fresh. Fried chicken is crunchy and juicy. The only thing you might need to note is that their fried vegetables doesn’t contain meat (normally will cook with a little pork slices), which is different from other restaurant, but it’s still very delicious. By the way, I think it’s also a foreigner friendly restaurant because I heard the staff can speak English.
